"The vehicle carried four occupants—all United States citizens working with the NGO Baptism Mission in Uganda."

They have been identified as Gardener Mathew, Savana Gardener, and two children. Savana Gardener, who was the co-driver, was pronounced dead upon arrival at Rubis Hospital along the Lugogo Bypass.

The other three were admitted for medical treatment and are reported to be in stable condition.

Preliminary investigations suggest the crash may have been caused by careless driving and failure to comply with hand signals from a Railway Police officer who was on duty at the crossing at the time.

Railway Police officers visited the scene, documented the incident, and are recording statements from witnesses. Investigations are ongoing, and authorities will release further updates as they become available.

Owoyesigyire extended condolences to the family of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
